Inpatient & Outpatient Care
Burke offers care in a hospital setting as well as therapy in a network of convenient locations serving the Tri-State area. We also offer rehabilitation medical care by doctors in our outpatient physicians group on our White Plains campus.
How to Become a Patient
Inpatient (Hospital) Care
If your doctor recommends treatment in a specialty rehabilitation hospital, ask to be referred to Burke. The case manager at the acute care hospital in which you are currently being treated may then send your medical records to Burke’s Screening Department.
Our doctors and screening nurses will review your medical needs and level of function. A nurse may visit you in the referring hospital to assess your condition and ability to participate in an intensive rehabilitation program. We will also verify your insurance coverage. See insurance plans we participate with.
If Burke’s level of care is right for you and your insurance company approves coverage, you will be admitted once you are medically ready. We work with the referring hospital to arrange transportation directly to Burke. Your treatment will begin the day after arrival.
Call Burke’s Screening Department for more information at 914 597-2519.
