During your stay in the hospital, you will have access to many services to help make your stay comfortable, productive and safe.
Translation Services
Ask your care team about our translation services if you are not fluent in English. We use a translation program that rapidly connects you to interpreters in over 300 languages. We also provide hearing amplification devices.
In-Room Entertainment
Burke provides complimentary television, phone, and Wi-Fi access. Your television shows your daily therapy schedule and includes medical information tailored to you. We lend out iPads upon request
Burke’s Patient Experience team has your total satisfaction at heart. Team members will visit you regularly to offer amenities such as books, puzzles, and art supplies. Burke volunteers play guitar and piano for the pleasure of patients and visitors. We will check in with you to make sure that your stay with us is proceeding well.
Burke Theradogs Program
Enjoy the companionship of regularly scheduled visits from specially trained dogs. Dogs and their handlers meet and greet patients, visitors and staff, bringing healing smiles to anyone who wishes for a visit.
Salon Services
Receive haircare services during your stay with us to feel and look good. Any patient can schedule a haircut or other services provided by a professional hairdresser in your room with physician approval.
Security
Your safety and security are of utmost importance. Please leave valuables and cash at home.
Visiting
Visitors are welcome daily, in accordance with visitation policies currently in place. Weather permitting, visits can take place outdoors on Burke’s beautiful Colonnade. The natural setting of the Burke campus is uplifting to both patients and families and boosts a patient’s recovery.
Marsal Caregiver Center
The Marsal Caregiver Center, located in the heart of the hospital, provides a peaceful oasis where caregivers can receive care for themselves. A licensed social worker offers emotional and informational support, easing the strains and worry caused by the illness of a loved one. Families cherish the refuge of the Caregiver Center.
Parking
Visitors park for free on our campus, with easy access to the hospital's main entrance. Please park in designated visitor parking areas.
Gift Shop
Burke’s gift shop offers an array of items including, clothing, toiletries, greeting cards, snacks and more. To order flowers, call (914)597-2301 and we'll be happy to deliver them for you.
